
Steak & Shrimp Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients
| 1 lb | 455 g | sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into cubes |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | olive oil |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | butter |
| 1 tsp | 5 ml | black pepper |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | salt |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | paprika |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | garlic powder |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | chopped parsley (for garnish) |
| 12 | large shrimp, peeled and deveined | |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | olive oil (for shrimp) |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | butter (for shrimp) |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | salt (for shrimp) |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | black pepper (for shrimp) |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | paprika (for shrimp) |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | red pepper flakes (optional) |
| 2 tbsp | 30 ml | butter (for Alfredo sauce) |
| 3 cloves | garlic, minced | |
| 1 cup | 240 ml | heavy cream |
| 1/2 cup | 120 ml | Parmesan cheese, grated |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | black pepper (for sauce) |
| 1/2 tsp | 2.5 ml | salt (for sauce) |
| 8 oz | 225 g | spaghetti or fettuccine |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | butter (for pasta) |
| 1 tbsp | 15 ml | chopped parsley (for pasta) |
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente.
- Drain and toss with 1 tbsp butter to prevent sticking.
2. Cook the Steak
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak cubes, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned.
- Add butter and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
3. Cook the Shrimp
- In the same pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes, and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink.
- Add butter and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, then add Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
- Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
5. Assemble & Serve
- Toss the pasta in the Alfredo sauce.
- Top with steak and shrimp.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan.
