⏱️ Prep: 25 min🍳 Cook: 30 min
Ingredients
| 4 pcs | eggs | |
| 12 tbsp | 180 ml | sugar |
| 4 tbsp | 60 ml | fresh milk (or water) |
| 12 tbsp | 180 ml | flour |
| 10 g | baking powder | |
| 1 teacup | water (for the syrup) | |
| 1 teacup | sugar (for the syrup) | |
| 1 sachet | vanilla (for the syrup) | |
| — | icing sugar (for the filling) | |
| — | marmalade, of choice (for the filling) |
Instructions
- Beat the eggs and sugar very well and add the fresh milk, then, spoon by spoon, the flour mixed with the baking powder.
- Grease the rectangular tin with fat and line it with baking paper. Pour in the sponge mixture and smooth it gently. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 15 minutes or until it takes on a pleasant golden colour.
- Mix all the ingredients for the syrup and bring to the boil in a pan on the hob. Leave the boiled syrup to cool.
- Turn the sponge out onto a damp cloth and gently peel off the paper. Prick it carefully with a fork and soak it thoroughly with the syrup without overdoing it.
- Spread evenly with the marmalade and roll up tightly into a roll with the help of the cloth. The finished syrup-soaked roll with marmalade is dusted with the icing sugar and served chilled.
