Taco Pasta
Two of my favorites (tacos & pasta) come together to create this super tasty, family friendly dinner that requires only 6 ingredients and about 10 minutes of cooking time!
Ingredients
| 1 lb | 455 g | ground beef, lean |
| 1 oz | 28 g | taco seasoning |
| 8 oz | 225 g | tomato sauce |
| 2 cup | 480 ml | beef broth |
| 8 oz | 225 g | small pasta (medium shells) |
| 1.5 cup | 360 ml | shredded cheese (cheddar, mexican blend or cheddar jack) |

Prep Time: 5 mins. Cook Time: 10 mins. Total Time: 15 mins.

- Set Instant Pot to saute. Add the ground beef and break up as it cooks. Once ground beef is browned, stir in taco seasoning, tomato sauce, beef broth and then pasta.
- Cover and seal lid. Change setting to manual and adjust time to 5 minutes.
- Once Instant Pot beeps to show it's done, quick release. Carefully remove cover and stir.
- Turn off Instant Pot. Top with cheese, put cover back on but don't seal. Allow a minute or two for cheese to start to melt. Serve with desired toppings.
Recipe Notes: A few readers have suggested not stirring everything together before pressure cooking because it promotes sticking and the dreaded "burn" notice. I have not experienced this as being a problem with this recipe. If you are nervous of a "burn" notice you can add in all ingredients with the pasta being last and not stir it together.
